At the Supreme Court at Auckland yesterday, William G. Shaw, aged 20, charged with forging and uttering, pleaded that the money was as much his as it was the man’s whose name he forged. He was admitted to probation for two years. Frank Muller, aged 27, formerly of the United States navy, charged with assault and causing bodily harm at Hamilton, was sentence l to six month’s imprisonment. Karl Laar, a foreign seaman, admitted stabbing another sailor with a knife and was sentenced tc six months’ imprisonment.
