Murder and Suicide.

1 MAN SHOOTS HIS WIFE. London, February 25. Visitors to the National Gallery today were startled by the sudden sound of a revolver shot, and they were horrified to see a woman falling to the floor, fatally shot by a man who stood beside her with a smoking revolver. Before anyone could intervene the murderer turned the weapon upon himself and committed suicide beside the body of his victim. The couple have been identified as Mr and Mrs Dawson, Americans, of independent means, residing at Brighton. Dawson left a letter stating that he was a victim of blackmailers.
