House Burned at Invercargill.

NARROW ESCAPE OF INMATES,

Invercargill, Last Night. An eight-roomed house belonging to Mr Alexander McDonald, sawmiller, Awarua plains, was burnt on Saturday, the inmates having a narrow escape. A daughter, 16 years, was rescued by her brother, who jumped through the winddw dragged her out. He severely cut by broken glass and is now in the hospital.
