A Gruesome Discovery.

AN OLD MAN’S SAD END. Hamilton, Sunday. Last evening an old man named Rich* ard Bishop was found dead in hiedilapidated shanty od the river bank: at Hamilton West. He had been living on rations supplied by the Charitable Aid Board, and he drew them each Thursday, but he did not do so last week. The coroner,- Mr. Bond, held an 1 inquest this, morning. The body was in such a decayed state that the coroner ordered the poli<ft to set fire to the shanty and cremate the body The jury returned a verdict 0£ death from exhaustion. Deceased at one time had a farm at Tamaki, bathe had been for many years in the* Waikato. The unconsumed remains; will be interred to-morrow-in the usual way.
