THAMES-TE AROHA RAILWAY. A petition is in course of (signature which is to bo sent to the Hon. Mr Mitcholson, ■Minister for Public Works, praying him to allow the lailwayhno to be used as far sis Kopu, fur tho purpose of limning trains between there and Grahamstown.
VISITORS FROM SYDNEY. Mr 8011, \vho arvivod hero recently from Sydney with Messrs Meyers and Plumb, and who has for the last few days been on a vi&ib with the latter gentleman to the mine? ab Maribobo, has returned bo the Thames. Mr Plumb, however, has proceeded lo Waihi, and will probably go f torn thence to Auckland, via To Arolia.
ANOTHER AUSTRALIAN PURCHASE. The purchase of Crawfoid'd lease at Waiotahi Creek has now been completed by Mr H. S. Meyers., on behalf of a Sydney syndicate.
