Supposed Terrible Murder.

What seems like murder is reported from Carowra, ft small town near Pud<tington Station, New South Wales. News has been recehed that the body of a man has been found near the boundary of Tibora station. On a constable proceeding to the place he found the body, and the appearance? indicate a secret and dreadful murder. The body is supposed to have been lying on the boundary a couple of months, and was three miles from the road in the corner of a paddock entirely closed in by tnallee scrub, as if dragged there to be out of sight. It is very improbable a man would go so far out of his way to commit suicide. The body was on its back, with the leges crossed, and arms stretched out u& if they had been carefully put there, with an open razor at the head. The clothes of deceased were new, and the vest was covered with blood. The most •suspicious thing was, that the left hand of the deceased was missing, and it seems to have been cut oft at the wrist to take away, to enable the murderer to gel any rings & wore. Nothing was found on the corpse to identify it. The oilskin, which is usually taken by travellers to wrap letters and valuables in, was found ; but there wa« nothing in it. The body was that of a small man, live feet two inches in height. The constable believes him to have been a jockey.
