Feminine Duellists-
Duxltki; among women, says a Paris correspondent, threatens to come into vogue in Paris, and the old practice of demolishing chignons, leaving off hats ov bonnets, and leaving the imprint of nails in faces vhen quarrels are to be adjusted, will soon probably be discarded for some summaiy mean" of obtaining satisfaction. One day recently two-well dressed women came face to face with each other in the Rue Laurence Savavfc, and bystanders were surpvi-od to hear them suddenly begin to objiu^ / one another in a vociierous manner wo. •', of the Mme. Angots of the Central ftlaiket. Public intetest was, however, more deeply aroused when one of the scolds pulled a revolver from some mysterious part of her bodice, and levelled it at her achersary. The adversary fumbled about for her weapon of defence, but before .she had time to present it a bullet whittled near her ears and she fainted away in a manner hardly worthy of an amazon. The assailant, a Mmc, Celcstine, was seized by the onlookers and disarmed, while her unluckly rival was carried insensible, but uninjured, to an adjacent pharmaceutical establishment.
