THE TE AROH A BATHS. Testimonial From Bishop Hadfield.
Bishop Hadfield, of Wellington, who has been spending several weeks at Te Aroha for 4 the good of his health, has boon so greatly benefited by using the baths, that, prior to hisdepartureyesterday en route for home, he forwarded the following letter to the Chairman of the Domain Board : Te Aroha, May 26th, 1887. Sir, — Having been heie four weeks, and having obtained great relief from the use of Bath No 3, I think it well to add my testimony to that of others which you have already received. It is not necessary that I should explain the nature of my complaints, it may be sufficient to say that bavin? had a very severe fall, which occasioned me much pain in my back and considerable inconvenience, and which incapacitated me for any exertion for nine weeks, I am now almost entirely free from pain, and am able to wsilk a moderate distance. On my arrival here I felt a difficulty to which I think it desirable to call attention, I found there were baths warm, hot, and very hot, but as no medical advice could be obtained it was impossible to ascertain either which to use, or how often to use them, or for what length of time. As this is a Government Domain, it certainly would be advisable to make a moderate grant to some competent medical man to induce him to reside here until the value ot these springs arj better known, [when it might no longer be required. 1 desire to express my appreciation of the courtesy I have received from those in charge of the domain and baths. — I remain, Yours faithfully, 0. Wellington The Chairman, Hot Springs Domain Board, Te Aroha.
