Count Moltke at Home.
A kei'RE.sentativk of the " Norddeutache Allgmneine Zeitung " has visited the residence of Count Moltke during a portion cf tho year, Cattle Croieau, in Silesia. Ag Moltke has no cbildron, his nephew, William Yon JMoltko, aide-de-camp, will be the heir to this cattle andebtate The cattle is a square building of one story, with a steep roof and wide entrance steps The saloon og tho ground floor ie simply furnJahed, and contains a numoer of portrait* of Moltke, of which the most notable is one bj- Lerabach.' the celebrated Berlin painter. At the foofe of the staircase leading to the upper floor are a couple of cannons taken at Mouufc Talorien and given to Mollko by the Emperor. There are enormous bronze piece-,., with ornaments in relief, and three Bourbon lilies surrounding the barrel. In the centre of tho hull are three bronze equestrian stat utes, one of the Emperor, one of Frederick, the Gi'eat and the third of Moltke himself. This was a present to the Count by some officers on hi& sixtieth anniversary of his entrance into the Piussian army. His private apartments are very simple, the Count's bed-mom only containing a low field-bed and a table On one of the wall is tho family tree of the Moltkea. In a glass frame me the different citizenships (freedom ot cJHes) confmred on the Count. That of Berlin is a fine parchment designed by Adolph Meuzel ; that of Dresden is in letters of gold on a silver plate ; that of Es?en is simply engraved ou a steel plate, Other oases contain pieoious or rare arm? brought by the field marshal from his journey in the East. A long,, chiseled lanco came from the Mahdij'a rich sheath incrusted with diamonds from the Sultan. There is a gold sword given by American Germans after the war of IS7O-71. On many of these arms is inscribed the General's device— "Erst wagen, dann wagen," There is a palette portrait of Victor Emmanuel, with a flattering dedication, and a small marble bust of Napoleon 111, given by that Emperor to the Count during the exhibition of 1567. In the court of the castle is a colossal buet of Emperor William, and the outer gate i& guarded by two enormous statues of gladiators.
