THE AGES OF ACTORS.

A writer on a New York journal, trying to prove that actors enjoy a ripe old age, furnishes the following statistics : Roger Kexnble, father of Charle« reached 81 years ; Charles Kemble 79 ; John Philip Kemhlo, 66. Charles Mackiln was said to be 107 years old when he died ; David Garrick, 62; Thos. Betterton, 75; Mrs Kendal's mother, 87 ; Frances Abiogton, 83 ; and "sweet Kitty Glive," 74.. Mies Foole, who became a Countess, died at 70 ; Samuel Phelps at 70 ; Buckstono at 7S ; Sarah Siddona at 76 ; Leister WalHck'a prandmother at 90, his uncle Henry at 7S aud and his father at 73. Jack Johnstoiie reached 78 ; Henry and Thomas Placide, 73 ; Jack Banieber, 77 ; Paul Bedford, 78 ; Joe Cowell 72 ; Wm. Farren, 75 ; Henry Sloman, 80 ; Peter Teazle, 74 ; James H. Hackett wa« over 70, and John Brough am, 71. Colley Cihber died near 87 ; Reynolds at 77. O'Keefe at 80; Sheridan Knowles, 79 ; Meyerbeer an 70 ; Rossini at 70 ; Haydn at' 77 ; and Handel at 74, This is i». pleasant picture, and shows that these good old souls knew nothing of the worries and trials of the unhappy journalist, which send him to hia laat resting-place at a much earlier age.
