, A Cork paper publishes the following extraordinary story :— " A revolting case of a man being eaten by rats has been discovered at Kilmichael, near Macroom. An old man named Edward Sarsfield was for a number cf years living alone in a cabin, and often kept the door closed for a few days. This circumstance occurred so often that the neighbours took no notice of it. The door being closod longer than the customary period, it was resolved to effect an entrance, when, to the horror of those who entered the house, they found the old man dead, and a large portion of hia body eaten away by rate.
