Takw a pice of flannel, dtp it in tho milk, then rub oil a good quantity of soap to the vetted flannel, and com.nenee to rub tho glove downwards towards the fingers, holding it firm y with the leit hand. Continuo this process until the plove, if -white, 100k 1 * of a d : ngy yellow, though clean ; if coloured, till it Jook^ dark and spoiled. Lay it to dvry, and tho operator ill soon be jjratirieii to see that the old gloves look nearly new. They will bo soft, glossy, smooth, and elastic. Mildew.— All linen articles, fr*m being put by damp and other causes, are liable to mildew. When this occurs mix soft soap w ith powdered starch, half as much salt, and the juice of a lemon. Apply this to the spots on both sides with a painter's brush, and leave the articles exposed to the sun and air till the mildew disappears. Fine-powdered chalk and yellow soap will answer the same purpose, if well rubbed in.
