Encouraging Report. — The Sailing of the Triumph.
It is reported that an old Wairarapa resident has recently reovivjd. letters from two of his nephews who had at tho time of writing been four months at Kimberley Goldfields, During that period one had obtained ljlOOozs of gold, and the ether 300ozs. The s.a. Triumph wah a hive of, industry the whole of yesterday, and when she left for Kind's Sound her complement consisted of 147 passongera and 170 horses. The steamer's departure was witnessed by about 4,0^0 people, who heaitly cheered those whom the gold fever had caused to seek a wanner clime.
The Kimberley fever appears to have taken away a large number of the Auckland lumpers, and it is expected that whenever discharging and loading of vessels becomes busk that the scarcity of men used to thi3 »york will prove hi convenient to employers.
