'Ere another issue of this paper will appear 1885 with ail its successes and disappointents, joys, and sorrows, will have passed away, and we shall stand on the threshhold of a new year. In a future issue we purpose referring to the principle events of the year which has now so well-nigh completed its course. None can tell what new surprises are in store for us ) What we may be called upon to pass through in the coming year, God in His wisdom having hidden this from our eyes. The commence* mehfc of another year should be to each one of us at once a resting place for thought and meditation > and a starting point for fresh exertions in the proper fulfilment of those duties that fall to our lot. f We trust that each of our readers will fully enjoy the present holiday season, and take this opportunity of wishing them one and all a BRiGEttf and
