A fair average yield is likely to be obtained from the ataffenbrr ia process of treatment, , , Waioronoomai*— Work is at present confined to the No 1 reef in the , Provincial section of the Company's ground. From this reef a crushing of 82 trucks lias just been put through at the battevy and has given a payable return, but the exact jfield will not be known until the berdanning is completed, which will not be ('before Tuesday., Judging from appearances it ought not to be leas than an ounce per track. A supply of stuff for apther crushing is now being got out at' this mine, and at each breaking down tfcere is a fair show of gold Galena. — Tlw hopper having 1 now been erected the connection between the J mine and the County tramway ia complete. A parcel of sixty truck loads from the No 1 and 2 leaders has been forwarded to the battery, ami five head of stampers are now *t work on it. From the look of the stuff it ought to ?ive a fair return. The stone now being ! brokon down on these leaders is also of a very promising appearance, and occasionally shows a fair sprinkling of gold. As soon as the lot now in coarse o.f treatment is pnt throng, the stampers will be started if there is sufficient time bofore the holidays, on a parcel from the No 3 vein which is also expected to prove payable. Silver KiNro.—Some twelve trucks of stuff now lies ready for treatment, and will be crushed as soon as an opportunity offers. A remunerative yield is looked for.
