The trial of Joseph Symee, the well-known Freethought lecturer, on the technical charge arising out of taking money for admission 1 to Sunday lectures, took place on Saturday, when after considerable consultation, the jury were unable to agree upon a verdict, and were consequently discharged. The defendant was again admitted to bail.
