Melbourne, April 9. — Preparations are being made here to quarantine the passengers by the P. and 0. steamship Kome, which lias arrived at Albany with, smallpox on board. Melbourne, April 9. — The Navigation Board concluded its inquiry into the Adelaide-AVairarapa collision to-day, and delivered its decision. The Board found that the Adelaide, being the overtaken vessel, was bound by the regulations to keep out of the way of the Wairarapa, and that Captain Lockyear was therefore responsible i for the casualty. The Board suspended the certificate of Captain Locl^ar for two i months, and severely censured both masters and cautioned them as to the future. Captain Derling, Nautical Assessor, entered a protest against the finding of the Board, being of opinion that both masters were responsible for the collision. Melbourne, April 10. — Numerous valedictory addresses to the Marquis of Normanby are now in course of preparation here and in other towns in the colony. Sydney, April 9. — Tawhiao visited the Government offices to-day and received attentions from the Ministers who were present. In the Legislative Assembly to-night, a Bill empowering the University Senate to grant additional degrees, and also to conterdegrees upon women, has been agreed to. Albany, April 9. — The case of small-pox which occurred aboard the P. and 0. steamship Kome, from London, was of a mild charactei, and the patient is now convalescent. Albany, April 9. — Arrived, in King George's Sound this morning : The P. and 0. Steamship Kome, with the inward maiJs via Sue<s and Brindisi, dated London, March 7. One of the passengers is suffering from small-pox.
