MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
TO-DAY'S CASES. Messrs F. H. Christian and C. W. Hervey, J.P.'s, presided at the Police Court this morning. Drunkenness. —A male and female first offender for drunkenness were each fined 5/-, in default 24 hours' imprisomnnt. Obscene Language.—Thomas Steele, of Scotland, aged 67, was charged with using obscene language in a public place —Durham Street, Sydenham. He was fined 20/-, in default seven days' imprisonment. Absconders From Bail.—John William Gleary and Frederick George Chick, who were due to- appear at the IPolice Court on remand this morning, on charges of theft, failed to appear. Warrants were issued for their arrest.
