The Alliance Airplane Company is > suing the Union Insurance Company of Canton for £SOOO for the loss of the machine in which Captain Roger DouglaS' and Lieutenant Ross set out to flv to Australia in November, 1919. The machine crashed at Surbiton shortly after the commencement of the flight and both i aviators were killed. The accident J occurred a few minutes before the expiration of the policy. The defence contends that the policy covered only trial flights in England, not the flight to Australia.
