RANGIORA. i Yesterday's sale was concluded at Ranging in fine weather. The entry of cattle .vas 73 head and pigs 80. The market in aoth sections was dull and dragging. In iddition to those prices already published he following sales took place:— Pigs—Baconcrs £5 to £7, stores £2 10/- to . *3, weancrs 15/- to 37/-. ' Cattle—Dry cows £7 to £8 12/6, forward , itorcs £B, 18-months heifers £5 to £6, two-/ear-old steers £6 10/-, best springers £2O to . :27, others £lO to £l6 5/-, springing heifers ' :i3 5/- to £l7 5/-, bulls to £l4. , Produce Market—ln the poultry section, •oostcrs Sold up to 12/-, hens 8/-, ducks > 10/9, and geese 8/-, all at per pair. In he produce yards chickwheat was cleared it 7/6 to 8/- per bushel, oats 4/6 to 5/6, ?igmcal 16/- per sack, oatshcaf chaff 5/:o 6/6, straw chaff 3/ : , potatoes 4/., apples 1/- per case, and onions 6d per bundle. ASHBURTON. The store sheep market at the Tinwald •ards yesterday proved very flat. The yardng totalled 1955, of which 803 were passed, flic sales were 111 four and six and faillngnouth woolly ewes and 100 lambs 18/3, 447 :wo-tooth shorn wethers 21/-, 72 four and >ix-tooth fat and forward wethers 29/-, 17 i two-tooth shorn ewes 21/6, 177 two-tooth shorn wethers 23/-, 16 crossbred woolly ' :wes and M lambs 17/2, 68 four, six and 1 Bight-tooth hali'hred woolly ewes and 67 • ambs 20/7. - ; Every prudent man carries "NA- , 50L" in his vest pocket.
