SIR CONAN DOYLE'S LECTURES.
Few of the great men of the Empire have come to this side of the world to live up to a reputation such as that which preceded Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Much was expected from him, and much has been idealised by all who have heard and talked with him. This famous man has shown himself a truly big man in every sense of the word. The subject he has come out to lecture upon he has placed before the public in a clear, simple fashion. At his lectures he has made no attempt at histrionic effect, and his audiences have been charmed by the strength of his personality and the earnestness of his convictions. What Conan Doyle talks about to-day h* has been studying for the past 30 years, and his lectures cmbody the result of that study. At his lectures at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday and Thursday, December 15 and 16, he will talk on "Death and the Hereafter: The New Revelation," and will show some remarkable psychic photographs. The box plans will open at Begg's on Friday morning, December 10.
