ENGLISHMEN AT BRISBANE. MATCH AGAINST QUEENSLAND. By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright. BRISBANE, Nov. 27. The cricket match, England v. Queensland, was commenced-on the Exhibition Ground to-day, in glorious weather. Seven thousand people were present. The wicket was good and hard. Queensland batted first. The brightest feature was the stand _of Moore and Oxenham. Moore hit six fours, and one six. He was in for 104 minutes. Rowc stopped the rot. » Russell and Makepeace, for England, faced the bowling attack of McAndrew and Ayres. O'Connor smartly snapped up Makepeace behind the wicket.
