A GENERAL IMPROVEMENT.
There has boon a general improvement in tile demand for shares during the week. Bank of Australasias were inquired for last week at £93 !">/-. Sellers now nsk £Ol. Union Hanks have taken quite a spurt. Buyers now offer £l3 lit/- and sellers quote £l4 3/-. Considerable business has taken place in Goldsbrough, Molts., and these shares are fairly firm, buyers offering £2 7/- and sellers quoting £2 7/6. For some time past there has been a better demand for Wellington Meats. For the £3 12/0 paidj issue buyers In Wellington offer £■! 10/-. Christchurch buyers quote £4 7/0, with sellers asking for £1 12/0. Oilers for Christchurch Gas have been increased from. £0 5/- to £0 0/-.
