—,-- , » SCHOOL CHILDREN AFFECTED. Under the direction of Br T. F. Telford, Health Officer for the Canter- . bury-Westland district, Drs Eleanor Baker and G. E. Kerens have bc;:i carrying out investigations into the prevalence of goitre in the primary and secondary schools of Christchureh. A comprehensive report nill be submitted on the matter later on. So far, the inspections show that a fairly large percentage of the pupils attending the schools are Effected by the disease.
