The president of the Sydney Chinese Chamber of Commerce is proceeding to China to report upon the scheme of the Chinese Government for repatriating Chinese now living in various countries. The scheme provides for the settlement of those repatriated upon lands speciallv set aside in the province of Chi-kiaiig. The object is to promote local industries by utilising the Western knowledge gained by Chinese who have lived abroad.
