MELBOURNE, September u. Arrived—Malaitn, from New Zealand. AUCKLAND, September fi. Arrived—lUvcrlna (2.;50 p.m.), from Sydney. DUNEDIN, September 0. Arrived—Port Curtis (10.10 a.m.), from New York, via northern ports. The. Tulunc left lUuotonga at 0 p.m. on Friday for Auckland with a cargo of fruit. The barque Glndbrook arrived at San Francisco on August 31 from Peru. The Maramn, from Wellington, left Papeete on August 27 for Sun Francisco, where she is clue ou September 8. The steamer Sliahristan has been purchased l>y the Union Steam Ship Co., Ltd. She will haxe extra winches and derricks tilted at Duncdin. She will sail at the end of the week for Adelaide to complete discharge, and to load for New Zealand ports. The steamer Cosmos, also recently purchased by the Union Steam Ship Co., is due at Melbourne from Bristol and New Orleans to discharge at Australian ports.
