THE TURKISH TREATY.
AGITATION IN INDIA. NATIONAL CONGRESS MEETS. By Cable. — Prets Atsociation. — Copyright. Rfutci's Zttegrams. (Rec. Sept. 0, 5.30) DELHI, Sept. 4. A special session of the Indian National Congress, convened for the purpose of considering a programme of non-co-operation with the Government as a protest against the Turkish peace terms, met at Calcutta. Five thousand delegates were present. The president's address states that the Hindus would give the Mohammedans unhesitating moral and constitutional support in their agitation to get the terms of the treaty revised. On the question of non-co-opera-tion the president did not give a lead, but left the question to be decided at a discussion in open congress. He concluded with a statement that he hoped the country would loyally accept whatever decisions were adopted by the Congress.
