The Kahika, laden with coal and timber, i> to leave Greymouth to-night for Lyttelton, where she is due on Wednesday. The Koromiko left'Lyttelton on Saturday night with a big load of produce and general cargo for Auckland. On completion of discharge she will go into dock for cleaning and painting, and will afterwards proceed to Newcastle to take in another full cargo for Lyttqjton. The Paloona sailed from this port on Saturday evening with passengers and cargo for Melbourne and Sydney. The Kini, with a cargo of coal and a small quantity of timber, is expected to reach Lyttelton to-night from Westport. The Te Anau, from Napier, arrived here this morning. Alter landing a few consignments of general cargo *he will sail this evening for Port Chalmers, where she will undergo overhaul. The Flora is due at Lyttelton to-morrow from Timaru to load for Nelson and NewPlymouth. She will go to Wellington, ■where she will undergo overhaul. The Wanaka may get away from Auckland on Wednesday cargo-laden lor Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru, and Timaru. The Waitomo and Kurow have been ham--I>ered at discharging operations at Auckand owing to the congested state of the sheds. Both vessels are expected to finish to-day. The Atua is due at Auckland this afternoon with a cargo of fruit from Suva. The Mokoiu is to leave Suva on September 17 with a load of sugar for Auckland. The Tarawera Is to sail from Svdney tomorrow for Bluff and Dunedin. • The Rakanoa left Auckland on Saturday for F'iji to load sugar lor Jier port of departure. KINSEY AND CO. The Leitrim is to sail from here, at daylight to-morrow for Dunedin. with the remainder of her cargo from West of England ports. Owing to the congestion of cargo in the sheds at Dunedin she may discharge at Port Chalmers. In due course "the Leitrim will go to Newcastle for bunkers, and return lo New Zealand about the end of the month to load for New York. Dunedin to unload New York cargo, the remainder of which will be discharged at Australia. She will take in frozen meat in New Zealand early In October for NewYork or Boston.

The Federal Steam Navigation Company's steamer Essex leached Lyttelton yesterday I morning from Napier to load refrigerated and general cargo lor New York. The vessel, which was in Lyttelton some two and a-lialf years ago, was built in 1902 for her present owners by J. Brown and Co., Ltd., Glasgow. Her gross tonnage was then 7558, but some four, years ago certain structural alterations ; were carried out to No. 5 hold, which inj creased her tonnage to 8722. The Huddart-Parker steamer Dimaraa was due at Wellington this morning from Sydney with 2-14 passengers and 970 tons |of general cargo. The Riverina was expected at Auckland this morning from Sydney with passengers and cargo. The Karu arrived here on Saturday night from Wellington, for which port she is to be dispatched to-morrow with general cargo and produce. The Breeze is due at Lyttelton to-morrow from Duncdin, via Timaru, and will sail in the evening for Picton and Wanganui. The Storm, from Wanganui, is expected at thin port on Wednesday, and is set down for sailing that evening for Dunedin and Timaru. A. BHIND AND CO. The Lily sailed from Lyttelton on Saturday night fully laden with general cargo lor Wellington. The Wootton is timed to leave this evening for Wellington with a big load of mixed merchandise. The Aratapu is due here to-day from Wellington to load general cargo for a return trip. N.Z. SHIPPING CO. The final sailing of the Rinmtaka from Auckland has again been postponed until noon on September 14. WESTPORT COAL COMPANY. The Canopus is due here this evening with a full cargo of coal from Westport. P. E. SUTTON AND CO. The John sailed from here on Saturday evening with the balance of her timber, and a quantity of general cargo for Dunedin. PERSONAL. Mr D. S. Kerr has signed on the Calm as chief engineer. OVERSEAS VESSELS. The New Zealand Shipping Company's liner Ruahine left Wellington at 7.45 o'clock on Saturday morning for Southampton and London, via Panama. Walter. i The Shaw ; Savill and Albion Company's I steamer Waimana, now engaged at the discharge of 4700 tons of London cargo, maybe ready for dispatch early next week for Wellington, where she will replenish her bunkers. Afterwards she will proceed to Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne to load. She will complete' her cargo at Wellington, whence she sails early in October for Ixmdon, via Panama. ' The Matatud arrived here this morning from Wellington to continue discharge of her Home cargo, and to load for Boston and New Y'ork. After landing the remainder of her freight at Port Chalmers she will load there and at Bluff and Timaru. She will return to Wellington, which port she is to leave on September 25 for Auckland, and is to sail from there on October 5 for the UDited Slates, via Panama. The Ayrshire, with 3000 tons of Liverpool cargo to discharge, left Auckland yesterday morning for Wellington. The West Camargo is due at Wellington to-day with 30,000 cases of oil and 200 tons of general cargo. She will later discharge at New Plymouth.
