THE KAIAPOI BOARDING-HOUSE CASE.
To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir, —Your article in your issue of Friday last, headed “Notice to Quit,” and making allusions to me, contains grave misstatements and omits certain facts that have material bearing. It presents the matter in a distorted and altogether misleading manner. I should be sorry for the public to assume the account published is a correct one, but, in view of the impending litigation, of which you show yourself aware, it would be improper for me at this stage to state the history of the case, but at a later time the whole facts will be available to the public. I should be glad if you would publish this, to correct Any wrong impression your article may have created. —I am, etc., ,T. IT. BLACKWELL. Kaiapoi, August 16, 1920.
[We cannot accept our correspondent's statement that we have distorted the facts. Still, we await the. developments, which will permit of n fuller statement of all the circumstances. -Kd. The Sun.|
