FIRES.
OUTBREAK AT HOKITIKA. \ Press Association. \ HOKITIKA, August 3. A fire occurred at 1.30 a.m. in the premises of AV. McLean, tea agent, Revell Street. The shop was gutted, The building, which was owned by W, J. Pritchard, was insured for £l5O ill tho National office, and the stock ot AV. McLean <or £IOOO, in the Insurance Office of Australia, Ltd. The stock waa nearly a total loss.
