WEDDING.

The wedding was solemnised yesterday afternoon of Miss Iris Hartle, daughter of Mr and Mrs .7. E. Hartle, Poynder Avenue, Fendalton, to Mr Harry Hamer, also of this city. The wedding took place at St. Barnabas' Church. Fendalton. which was charmingly decorated for the occasion. A large wedding bell of white daisies was suspended over the place where the bridal couple stood.

The bride, who was given away by lirr father, wore a simple frock of soft white satin, finished with silver fringe, ehaplet of orange blossoms, and flowing wedding veil. The latter was beautifully embroidered in an appropriate design by a friend of the bride. An exquisite shower bouquet of choice white flowers was carried. Miss Muriel Hartle and Miss Iris Rudd were the bridesmaids, the former wearing pale pink georgette, and a hat in the same shade, and the latter a pale maize-coloured georgette, and a hat to match. Each carried a charming pink bouquet, the group making a pretty picture. Mr Eric Rcid and Mr Stanley McCalhun attended the bridegroom as best man and groomsman respectively. After the ceremony, a small reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents. Mrs Hartle wore a becoming costume of heliotrope silk, black hat, and carried a bouquet of heliotrope sweet peas. Mrs Ilamer, mother of the bridegroom, wore dark navy crepe de Chine, black toque with ospreys, and carried a bouquet of dark red roses.

Afterwards Mr Ilarrv Hamer and his bride left for the West' Toast, the latter travelling in a smart mole-coloured costume, and a rose-petal hat carried out iii a pretty shade of tangerine.
