KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

The Knlapoi Borough Council met last night, when the following members were present: The Mayor (Mr .1. 11. Ulnckwell), Crs W. Doubicdnv, R. Dunn, .r. Barnard, .[. Smith, W. Wallace, T. It. Leilhcad, .1. W. Crawshaw.

The lessee of a portion of the council's reserve at Aslilmrton advised that he had sold his Interest In the property, and asked Ihe council 1" agree to :i transfer. The matter was referred to the Reserves Committee,

The Eyre County Council wrote regarding the proposed footpath from Sneyd Street lo the cemetery, staling that it suggested putting the path on the north side of the road at a cost or £l.'!2 with extra for grit covering. The letter was received. The superintendent of the Volunteer Fire Brigade reported that several of the fire pumps required attention, and the clerk was instructed to have the matter attended to. Mr 11. F. Toogood, C.K., intimated that he had Inspected the Cam bridge, and reported that the arch had failed badly, having dropped about Din on one side and rather more on the other. The arch should he removed and a new bridge, erected. IV a limber or steel truss design lie adopted the existing abutment could he relied on.
