MUTINY AND REVOLT.
TROUBLE IN SPAIN. Bv Gable. — Press Association. — Oovvrlpht. (Renter) MADRID, Jan. 11. There arc mutinous and revolutionary movements at Barcelona and Saragossa. The Government is taking drastic steps to deal with them. The leaders have been arrested. A corpora] and six privates were court-martialled and shot for mutiny at Saragossa, where martial law has been declared. Officers have been recalled from leave and troops and gendarmes are patrolling the streets. The Syndicalist leader, Chueca, was killed during an attack on the barracks.
The Constitutional parlies in Parliament have rallied to the Government after a critical debate. / ATTACK ON BARRACKS. (A. & N.Z.) MADRID, Jan. 11. During the riots at Saragossa, soldiers attacked the barracks and a lieutenant was killed. The outbreak was suppressed after the leader had been killed and several others wounded.
