CRICKET AVERAGES.
« REPRESENTATIVE TEAM'S RECOEDS. Apart from the record scores put up bv Auckland and S. G. Smith, the outstanding feature of the three interprovincial matches which have been played so far this season by the Canterbury representative cricket team is the excellent record of R. C. Blunt, formerly of Christ's College and now of the West Christchurch Club. In six innings Blunt has scored 73, 24, 72, 56, 40 and 137 not out, giving him an average of 80.40. In the field he has taken five catches. He has bowled only once—against Auckland —but then he took two wickets for 34 runs. The batting_and bowling averages of the team to date are as follow: —
