A FINE ATHLETE.
PERFORMANCES IN WELLINGTON. Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 2. H. E. Wilson, one of the New Zealand athletes who did so well at Home as a member of the New Zealand Division's athletic team, made his first appearance at the Wellington College Old Boys' sports. Giving a start of one hurdle and 10 yards, he won the 120 yds Hurdles in 15sec, though he was not in training. Then he won the 100 yds Flat in 10 2-5 sec. [There is clearly an error in the time given lor the 120 yards hurdles in this telegram. If Wilson could "do" lf>sec for the hurdles when untrained, he could break the world's record when trained, and, line hurdler though he is, he has not given any indication that lie Is as good as that. For eight years the world's record stood at lf>scc. Then, in l'.llli, 11. Simpson, of the University of Missouri, reduced it to 14 3-sscc]
