SPEEDING-UP TRIAL.

ON NORTH ISLAND EXPRESS. Prrss Association. WELLINGTON, November 7. A trial express, carrying passengers, will leave Wellington for Auckland tomorrow night. It will stop only at PalmeVston North, Marton, Taihape, Ohakunc, Taumarunui, and Frankton. It is being run as a trial, to see in what time the journey can reasonably be run, with a view to making such an express permanent. Mr Massey (Minister of Railways), the General Manager (Mr E. W. McVilly), and several of the leading railway officials, will travel with the express.
