LOCAL GOVEBNMENT NOTICES. IN THE MATTER OF "THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 1913," AND "THE LOCAI ELECTIONS AND POLLS ACT, 1908." IT IS HEREBY PUBLICLY NOTIFIEt that the Walmairl County Council desire! to obtain the consent of the Ratepayers ol that part of the County of VValmolrl named by resolution of the County of Walmairl passed by the Council on the lith day of July, 1919, "Elmwood Park Special Rating Area," the Boundaries of which said pari :\re defined in the Schedule hereto, the raising of n Special Loan of One Thousand Two Hundred Pounds (£1200). (a) The particular purpose for which the Loan is required is for the purchase of land at Elmwood, St. Albans Ward, for use as a pleasure ground for the benefit of the Inhabitants of that part of St. Albans Ward in the City of Christchurch and part of the County of Wainiairi named by resolution of the Walmairl County Council "Elmwood Park Sp< "* * Rating Area." (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed fc such purpose is One Thousand Tw. Hundred Pounds (£1200). (c) The proposed security of such proposed Loan and providing a Sinking Fund in respect thereof is Special Rate of Seven-sixty-fourfh_ of a Penny in the Pound upon the rateable value, being the Capital Value of all rateable property comprised In tiic said "Elmwood Park Special Rating Area." (d) The said Loan shall have a currency of Twenty-five Years, and bear interest in the meantime at a Rate not exceeding Five Pounds Ten Shillings per Centum Per Annum. The provision for repayment Is that the whole of the Loan shall, at the end of its period, be repayable by means of a Sinking Fund.

(c) It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan and the preliminary expenses incurred in connection with the scheme for ■which the Loan is proposed to be raised, hut it is not proposed to pay out of the Loan the Interest and Sinking Fund for the first year.
