'The Waipori, with a cargo of coal from Newcastle, arrived in the stream here at 1 *'clock this morning. Having been given a clean bill of health she will berth early to-morrow morning. The Pohcrua is expected to have her Westport coal discharged this evening. After loading general cargo for New Plymouth and transhipments for the Moaua nt Wellington, besides a large quantity of railway gear, she will sail to-morrow for the* ports mentioned. The Manuka was unable to procure more men than sufficed for the working of two gangs yesterday. She will sail for the north this evening, but nothing is known at present regarding her further movements.

The New Zealand Shipping Company expects io dispatch the steamer Mfddlcham Castle from Wellington for London, via Panama, to-morrow or Saturday. The Himutaka is to leave Wellington next week for Whakatanc, Poverty Bay, and Gishorne for Home loading. She will return to Wellington to complete her cargo. The Waimana, en route from the United Kingdom to Auckland, where she is due on June 21, left Colon on May 29. The Heinuera is expected to leave Port Chalmers for Wellington next week to complete her Home loading. She is to sail from Wellington for London, via Panama, on June 18.
The Waiwcra (Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company), which left New York on May 16 for Lyttclton, Dunedln, Melbourne, and Adelaide, is due here about June 30. The Raranga is completing her Home loading at Gisborne. She is due back at Wellington ahout the. beginning of the week to lill up for London.
Six large meat carriers are being built on the Tync for the Federal, Sliaw-Savili, and Commonwealth and Dominion Lines. Hawthorn Leslie's have nearly completed the Port Nicholson for the Dominion Line. She is 500 ft long and has a deadweight carrying capacity of 12,722 tons. Swan and Hunter are building two for the Federal Line, and Palmer and Co. arc building a third. Two have been launched. Armstrong, Whitworth, and Palmer are building one each lor the Shaw-Savill Line. The last five steamers are 450 ft long, and each will lie able to carry 3200 tons of meat. The wooden schooner King Cyrus, with a cargo of ease oil for Napier, kit San Francisco on May 10.
