In "Stella Maris," now fereening at the Strand, Mary Pickford presents two cf the most widely different and difficult characterisations ever disclosed in one production. The'famous little star. is. histrionically incomparable in the dual roles of Stella Maris and Unity Blake. 80 remarkable is the transformation that it seems incredible that Unity Blake, orphan of the slums, stunted mentally and physically, is the "world's favourite." Each of the characters appears to the greatest possible extent, and the exquisite interpretations by "little Mary" will achieve lasting success. The story is an adaptation by
