(\\«e. May 8, 3.45) LONDON, May 2. A big Handley-Page machine left the aerodrome at Andover with seven passengers, practising night-flying. It stopped in mid-air, owing to engine trouble, and crashed to the ground.

Colliding with a shed, the machine overturned and took fire.

Five persons were killed. The victims were pinned under the machine and roasted to death. The survivors were badly burned.
