RIOTS IN AMERICA. By Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright. (A. & N.Z.) NEW YORK, May 1. Soldiers and sailors stormed the May Day Labour demonstration in Madison Square. Police reserves dispersed the crowds, who left three dead. At Cleveland, I.W.W. riots started when soldiers seized a red flag carried in the procession. THREE POLICEMEN SHOT. Australian and N.Z. The "New York .World's" Boston correspondent states that three policemen were shot and a number of persons injured in the May Day riots between the soldiers and sailors and the radicals. TROUBLE IN PARIS.

(A. & N.2.) PARIS, May 1. . Infantry and cavalry reinforced the gendarmerie to prevent the May Day demonstrators marching to the Place de la Concorde. Firemen turned fire hoses on the crowd, who twice broke through the military cordons. Many heads were broken in baton charges. Another riotous crowd gathered in another quarter and shouted, "Down with the Government."

The outlook was uglier at nightfall.

The riots were continued at night. The demonstrators attempted to barricade the streets, but mounted troops charged the mob. A great number of people were wounded, including the editor of "PHumanite." HOLIDAY In DUBLIN.
