"The Woman God Forgot," another Artcraft cinema spectacle, disclosing the combined arts of Geraldine Farrar, Cecil B. de Mille, and Jeanie MacpherSBn —which bids fair, to create a greater sensation than even the stupendous "Joan tho Woman," the last film offering this noted trio —will be presented at Crystal Palace next week. "The Woman God Forgot" is produced on a scale of extraordinarily extravagant splendour and artistic magnificence by ©ocil B. de Mille, a master genius of the screen. Jeanie Maepherson's absorbing rfnd dramatic tale of the beautiful Aztec Princess who sold her country for the man she loved, is worthy of the wonderful acting ability of Geraldine Farrar, the world-famed artist of both stage and screen. Wallace Reid is her leadi»g man, and Hobart Bosworth, Raymond Hatton, and almost all who appeared in "Joan" are seen in this gigantic spectacle. One of the elaborate defines discloses the largest aviary in the world, especially built for this prodnctlon, together with an entire Aztec city, showing the pomp and splendour of Mtfntezuma. The lovely screen star, Jewel Carmen, will also be seen in "The Bride of Fear," ajensational Fox production which Outshines the brilliancy of her past kinema achievements.

Frances Marion from tho story by William J. Loeke, and Artcraft has given it excellent production and artistic handling. Mary Pickford again proves herself, not only versatile to a degree, but an artist to her finger tips. Marshall Neilan • directed. In addition to Mary's greatest picture, Elsio Ferguson, the screen's most beautiful acquisition from tho legitimate stage, is appearing in "A Doll's House," from the Henrik Ibsen story, which has been recognised as a classic of the drama, and has been very popular in both Europe and America. H. E. Herbert is seeji in the leading masculine role, and Maurice Tourneur directed.

Mabel Normand is supported by Herbert Rawlinson, who was seen opposite Geraldine Farrar in "The Turn of the Wheel," in "Back to the Woods," a Goldwyn comedy-drama to be shown at the Liberty next week. . Mabel Normand's latest combination of comedy and thrills is sure to please her countless admirers. Clarkson Miller is the author, and George Irving directed the story. * * * Harry Morey will be seen as a young millionaire in "A Game with Fatej" a Vitagraph mystery drama to be screened, at the Queen's next week. Betty Blythe co-stars with Mr Morey, and the story is by Tom Terris. Paul Scarddn directed the picture, whieh has plenty of suspense, excitement, and thrilling adventure. * * * May Allison, the charming and dainty little favourite of the Metro forces, is appearing at the Gruid next week in "The Return of Mary," from the well-known play by Hale Hamilton, a prominent actor of the stage now starring in Metro pictures, and who appeared with Viola Dana in "Opportunity," Miss Allison is supported toy Darrell Pops, Clarence Burton, Claire McDowell, Prank Brownlee, and Joseph Belmoni.' This drama has excitement and heart interest in abundance.

Tom Moore will be seen as a star in his Own right for the first time at Everybody's next week in "Thirty a Wee&" a five-part Goldwyn production tosimftil of romance. Light comedy and romance dominate the first part of the fieture, and the rest contains splendid ramatic values. Mrs Moore is- seen as a chauffeur in '' Thirty a Week," and Tallulah Bankhead, a society girl new to the screen, is his leading lady. The story is frem the pen of Thomas Buchanan and Harry Beaumont.

In "Stella Maris," now screening at tire Strand, Mary Pickford presents two of the most widely different and difficult characterisations ever disclosed in one production. The famous little star.is histrionically incomparable in the dual rales of Stella Maris and Unity Blake. So remarkable is the transformation that it seems incredible that Unity Blake, orphan of the slums, stunted mentally an* physically, is the "world's favourite." Each of the characters appears to the greatest possible extent, and the exquisite interpretations by 44 little; Mary" will achieve lasting success. The story is an adaptation by

June Caprice, the former William Fox star 7 has been engaged by Albert Qapellam, who recently completed "The Red Lantern," starring Nazimova, for Metro, and who has just announced that he will become an independent, producer, under the firm title of Capellani Pictures Company. Mary Moore, sister of Toni, Owen, Matt., and Joe, died in Fran'co recently, and, although no details -were received, it is believed that she died of influenza. Miss Moore has appeared in pictures, and several months ago went overseas .with tho Red Cross. Her brother, Joe, who is the husband of Grace Cunavd, is still with his regiment in Prance.

Katherine MaeDonald, tho beautiful Paramount player, has now started production on films for the Kathevino MaeDonald Picture Company, which isbeing launched and financed by several Chicago capitalists. Miss MaeDonald will herself select the story for her first feature, and will assist in assembling the cast. Miss MaeDonald had had very little stage experience before she joined the Universal Company, and was .given a small part in a picture in which her sister, Mary MacLaren, was starred. Since that time she has supported several Paramount stars, including William S. Hart, Charles Eay, Douglas Fairbanks, and had a prominent part in Cecil B. de Mille's "Squaw Man." Colin Campbell, former Selig director, has been engaged to direct her.

Charlie Chaplin's second First National million-dollar comedy, "Shoulder Arms,*' will be shown in the Dominion shortly, and is said to surpass anything he has done.

Excitement and comedy is the keynote of "Never Say Quit," a new William Fox offering, starring the athletic "thunderbolt,". George Walsh. The story tells of the thrilling adventures and misfortunes of a young man born on Friday, the 13th. Leaping over high walls, climbing the sides of buildings, and other athletic feats are amongst the stunts this star performs at a great rate throughout the wholo of five reels of "Never Say Quit." It is declared to be the funniest comedy-drama of [the season. Raymond Schroek is the author of both the story and tlj6 scenario, and Edward Dillon, a recent addition to the Fox forces, directed the production. The supporting company includes Florence Dixon, Henry I Holland, William Frederic, Frank |Jaeo"bs, Joseph Smily. and Jean Acker.

Evelyn Nesbit is seen as a Magdalen in "Thou Shalt Not," now being produced by "William Pox. The story is by Charles J. Barbin, who is also directing the pieture. The story is not wholly fiction, as the author de ? rived his facts from real life. Ned Burton, Florida. Kingsley, Gladden James, Crawford Kent, and Eddie Lawrence are included in. a cast of wellknown and capable artists. * * *
