SWIMMING.
A COMBINED CARNIVAL. A combined swimming carnival under the auspices of the East Christchurch and Christchurch High School Old Boys' Amateur Swimming Clubs was held at the Tepid Baths iast evening. The entries were large —those in the men's interclub handicap and the interclub relay handicap constituting records for the season. A relay race between teams of 10 men, representing East Christchurch and Old Boys' Clubs, provided a splendid contest, the finish being so close that the spectators were unable to say until the Judges' decision was announced which team had won. Flying Squadron Relay Race, 333 l-3yds, 10 men a side.—East Chrislchuich beat Old Boys in a race which was very closely contested from start to finish, ('..
