SUPREME LABOUR COUNCIL. By Cable — Press Association — Copyright, (A. & N.Z.) LONDON, March 12. Mr R. S. Home, Minister of Labour, said that lie hoped England would establish a Supreme Labour Council, similar to that in France. He warmly supported the international Labour Bureau's suggested minimum wages and maximum hours. WAGES OF MINERS. (A. & N.Z.) LONDON. March 12. Mr Gibson, representing the South Wales Coal Owners 1 Association, in evidence referred to pieceworkers' wages. Day workers, lie said, earned 7/-in 1914 and 13/5 in 1918.
