ADDINGTON MARKET.
A SMALL YARDING. There was a very small attendance of buyers and farmers at the Metropolitan Market yesterday, and the yarding of stock was also on the. small side. The stock yarded consisted mostly of fats, and prices were about on a par with the previous week. Fat sheep were inclined to he firmer, and there was an improvement in the price of lambs. FAT SHEEP. There were only between six and seven races of fat sheep entered, and the quality was only moderate. The demand was good, ond prices kept up to last week's rates, finning somewhat towards the close. The range of prices was: - Prime woolly wethers, 45, 6 to 54 '-. Lighter woolly wethers. II! - to 15/-. Prime shorn wethers, 35/0 to 10 -. Medium shorn wethers, 30/- to 35.'-. FAT LAMBS. There were only 133 fat lambs penned, the quality heing good, and prices showed a considerable recovery. The range of values was: — Extra prime lambs, to 36/6. Prime lambs, 28/- to 31/9. Burrows (Harewood), 4 28/3; J. C. Chamberlain (Brookside), 28 25/6 to 28/-. FAT CATTLE. There was an irregular market for fat cattle, of which 171 head were entered. Prices were a bit dull at the opening, but brightened up later, the a%erage being about the same as the previous sale. The range of prices was:— Extra prime steers, to £3O. Prime steers, £2O to £25 10,'-. Ordinary steers, £ll 15/- to £l9 10.'-. Extra prime heifers, £lB 5, -. Prime, heifers, £ls to £l7. Ordinary heifers, £8 5/- to £l4 10/-. Extra prime cows, to £2O 2/6.
