Sir, —I read The Sun* article of yesterday regarding the high price" of funerals. This could all be stopped if either the Government or City Council ordered hundreds of coffins from the numerous carpenters and contractors of Christehurch. Build them big enough is all that is necessary. There is no art in making a coffin. "Plain ones need not cost much over 20/-. —I am, etc., E. HANDCOCK. November 21. CONCESSION TICKETS. To the Editor of THE SUN. Sir, —Owing.to the epidemic there are consequently few people travelling on the trams. Would you use your influence to induce the manager of the Tramway Co. to allow the concession tickets to be used up, instead of by the date of expiry. In my own case we generally use one and' a-half or two tickets per month; this month we have 20 rides, and the tickets expire on November 25, while my son has only had six rides out of his ticket, and it expires on November 30. A number of others are in the same situation.—l am, etc., FATIIEH.
