PICTURE THEATRES. DANCING HALLS. BILLIARD SALOONS. SHOOTING GALLERIES. CONCERT ROOMS. PUBLIC HALLS. LIBRARIES. AND OTHER PLACES OF ENTERTAINMENT. ALSO ALL PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOLS, SUNDAY SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, OR OTHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS. ALL PLACES USED FOR RACE MEETINGS, SHOWS, OR EXHIBITIONS OF ANY KIND. ALSO, ALL CHURCHES, CHAPELS, AND OTHER PLACES USED FOR RELIGIOUS SERVICES. ABOVE SCHEDULE WHICH IS, OR MAY BE, USED FOR PUBLIC MEETINGS OR GATHERINGS, INCLUDING SALES BY AUCTION. ORDER REQUIRING THE CLOSING OF HOTEL BARS, BARS OF CHARTERED CLUBS, BREWERIES, WINE AND SPIRIT BUSINESSES, FOR THE PREVENTION OF THE SPREAD OF DANGEROUS INFECTIOUS DISEASE—to wit INFLUENZ A. Pursuant to Section 18 or the Public Health Act, 1908, and the Special Powers conferred on me thereunder by his Excellency the Governor-General, I, Herbert Chesson, District Health Officer, hereby require that ALL HOTEL BARS, BARS of CHARTERED CLUBS, BREWERIES, WINE AND SPIRIT BUSINESSES, within the Canterbury-West-land Health District, BE CLOSED FORTHWITH and until further notice. All MARBLE BARS, REFRESHMENT ROOMS, and TEA ROOMS shall also be closed, except during the following hours:— 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. 12 noon to 2 p.m. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Dated at Christchurch this 19th day of November, 1918. PURSUANT to Section 18 of The Public Health Act, 1908, and the Special Powers conferred on me thereunder by bis Excellency the Governor-GencraK I, Herbert Chesson, District Health Oilicer, hereby direct that the undermentioned PREMISES within the CHRISTCHURCH METROPOLITAN AREA, as described in the New Zealand Gazette of April 12, 1917, BE ISOLATED by being CLOSED for the PURPOSE OF DISINFECTION, at IS p.m. DAILY until 7 a.m. on the following morning, until further notice. During the period of such isolation NO PERSON SHALL ENTER any such building save for the purpose of cleansing and disiu- , lectins the same, or for some other purpose directed by me: — ALL PLACES OF BUSINESS, SHOPS, OFFICES, AND FACTORIES, EXCEPTING THE PREMISES OF-CHEMISTS, WHOLESALE AND RETAIL, NEWSPAPER PRINTING OFFICES, AND MARBLE BARS, REFRESHMENT ROOMS, AND TEA ROOMS, for which special times of opening have been stated in the preceding notice.
