TRAMWAY ELECTION.
LINWOOD SUB-DISTRIGT. TO THE ELECTORS. Ladies and Gentlemen, — * Being one of the originators of the present tramway system, and member for the district on the board since its inception, I again ask you to favour me with your support on Thursday next. I consider the whole of the special rating districts should be done away with, and the service run as one system. But it is inadvisable to discuss the question further, the matter being now before the court and out of the hands of the board. The record of my past services is well known to most of you. Whilst I rely on that record in this election, 1 intend to do my best, when elected, for the benefit of my district, and the system in general. I shall have the pleasure of addressing you before the poll, when 1 shall further explain my views, and be pleased to answer questions on tramway matters. Yours faithfullv, HERBERT PEAHCE. 50 Lower High Street. .3
