SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
WALTHAM. At the meeting of the Waltham School Committee there were present:—Mr C. V. Harvey (chairman), Mesdames Wilson and Beslcy, Messrs \V. Wraight, T. Mortlock, J. Forde, A. Watkins, T. Hill, and W. Thomas. During the vacation the school had 'been thoroughly scrubbed out, and the Visiting Committee reported on the excellent condition of the class-rooms. The chairman advised having made arrangements for a supply of coal for the winter, and his action was approved. The Education Board advised that they approved of Mr Thomas's nomination as a member of the committee for the ensuing year. Messrs Harvey and Wraight were a subcommittee to supervise the borders at the school, and sec if any of the plants or shrubs needed replacing.
