Although the railway yards at the port arc congested with goods the wharf labourers at Lyttcltou have decided not to work at all to-morrow (An/.ac Day). At the Harbour Lights Theatre, Lyttelton this afternoon a presentation was made to Mr E. U. Just, late headmaster of the Lyttcltou District High School. The theatre was filled with school children and their parents. The Mayor of Lyttelton (Mr VV. T. Lester), who presided, referred to the sterling qualities of Mr dust, both as headmaster and as friend to the children for the past 2S years. Mr ('. E. Curtis, chairman of the School Committee, endorsed the Mayor's remarks, anil on behalf of the residents of Lyttcltou presented Mr .Just with a roll-top desk, gold chain and medallion, suitably inscribed, ami a purse of sovereigns.
